Dr. Vuyane Mhlomi
Co-founder & Chief Executive Officer
Dr Vuyane Mhlomi studied medicine at the University of Cape Town, where he completed his degree with distinctions in preclinical, clinical and final clinical examinations, which culminated in the awarding of his degree with first class honours. He was awarded the Rhodes Scholarship where he completed his DPhil at the University of Oxford. In 2017, Vuyane was also awarded the prestigious Pershing Square Scholarship to study an MBA at Oxford and was selected by the University for Poets & Quants as one of top 100 most promising MBA graduates in the world. Vuyane has always been entrepreneurial, his current interests lie in the intersection of healthcare, science, and business. Inspired to evade the conventional career path and take the start-up plunge with Quro Medical. Vuyane is the recipient of numerous local and international academic and leadership awards.
Ms. Zikho Pali
Co-founder & Chief Operations Officer
Zikho is an admitted attorney with approximately 5 years of legal practice experience, which she attained in one of the largest and most reputable law firms in South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Master of Laws ( LLM) (with thesis honors) from Harvard Law School. She was a recipient of the Bowman Gilfillan Scholarship during her undergraduate degree and the Skye Foundation and Harvard Law School Cogan Scholarship for her post graduate studies. She has a strong history of leadership and has a keen interest in healthcare policy. During her time at Harvard, she worked at the Harvard Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation, where she was involved in various legislative and policy projects. At the age of 26, she was the youngest serving board member of the largest hospital in South Africa.
Dr. Rob Cornish

Dr. Geoffrey Modise
Chief Medical Officer
Rob completed a DPhil in machine learning at the University of Oxford as part of the AIMS CDT, with a focus on Bayesian statistics and deep learning. He holds first-class honours degrees in electrical engineering and in pure mathematics from the University of Melbourne, and in applied mathematics from Monash University. In all these he received various prizes for academic excellence. Rob is a passionate entrepreneur who believes in the potential of technology to bring about positive societal changes at a large scale.
Dr. Geoffrey Modise is a South African medical doctor who graduated from the University of Cape Town (UCT) with distinction in the final clinical examinations. He subsequently completed an internship at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH) and community service at Kimberley Hospital Complex (KHC). He was awarded the Chevening Scholarship; an international award aimed at developing global leaders. In 2018, he graduated with an MSc in Health Economics and Health Policy (with Distinction) at the University of Birmingham. Through merging clinical insight and theoretical and practical aspects of conducting healthcare economic evaluations, his particular interest is informing priority-setting to ensure efficient use of resources.
Ms. Nongcebo Nsibande
Nursing Coordinator
Nongcebo is a registered nurse by profession with 6 years of experience both in the public and private healthcare sectors. She obtained her undergraduate comprehensive nursing diploma from KwaZulu-Natal Nursing College and went on to further her studies at the University of Stellenbosch in 2017 graduating with a Post-Graduate Diploma in HIV/AIDs Management. In 2018, she stepped out of her clinical role and entered the SITA Hackathon, using technology to bridge gaps in Healthcare, where she and her team took second place in the Code Jam category. She has also worked with an international NGO to bring much-needed healthcare services to the marginalized and vulnerable key populations. Nongcebo is an innovative individual with a keen interest in health economics and the hopes of marrying technological advances with sound evidence-based nursing excellence in the South African health care landscape through Quro Medical.
